Ready for January
You qualify this autumn. Where will your first client come from?
Your first client comes from someone who is looking for a PT and finds you. Many people start looking around New Year, so the goal is to be visible before January. With Nova you get a free card in the marketplace, and with Pro or Elite your own website built to be found on Google. Use the autumn to set it up, and you are ready when January comes.
The timeline to January

Before Christmas
Your store is open

January
The New Year rush
Many people start training in January. Reply quickly to enquiries and make it easy to say yes.
Through the winter
Keep your clients going
After a few weeks, many people give up their New Year's resolution. Regular follow-up and a programme in the app help your clients stick with it.
What you get with Nova, and what it costs
Free to start
A card in the marketplace, chat and programmes for up to three clients. No card details and no time limit.
0% commission
Your clients pay you directly through Stripe. Nova takes nothing of what you sell, but Stripe's standard transaction fee applies.
Your own website that Google can find
Your store has a built-in checklist that shows what Google needs to find you. One example: in September, a Nova store in Bodø was second on Google for the search “online coach bodø”.
The app your clients train in
Your clients get their programme, workout log and chat with you in the Nova app for iPhone and Android. It is free for them.
The free account gives you the marketplace card. Your own website comes with Pro at 849 kr/month or Elite at 1 200 kr/month (778 and 1 000 kr/month billed annually). Monthly plans have no lock-in. See all prices →

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay to use Nova?
No. You can start for free with up to three clients, with no card details and no time limit. Your own website requires Pro (849 kr/month) or Elite (1 200 kr/month). Nova takes 0% of what your clients pay you, but Stripe's standard transaction fee applies.
When should I sign up?
Ideally while you are still studying. Your profile and programmes can be ready before your first client, and Google takes time to find new pages, so it pays to publish your store well before January.
What do I need to get started?
You must be at least 18. To get the marketplace card you need a verified email address, your name, the municipality you work in and a photo or your specialties. To get paid, you connect a Stripe account.
How do clients find me?
Through your card in the Nova marketplace at novafitness.no/trenere, and through your store once it is published. You can also share the link on your own channels. We cannot promise you clients, but we make it easier to be found.
What is the deadline?
Nova has no deadline, so you can sign up at any time. If you want to be ready for January, your store should be published before Christmas, so people planning their New Year training have time to find you.
Can I use Nova alongside a job at a gym?
Yes. Your Nova account is your own, wherever you work. Check your employment contract about private clients, as some gyms have rules on this.
Who is behind Nova
My name is Lars. I'm a rehab trainer in Bodø and the person behind Nova. I built the tool I needed myself: a simple way to get found and run your own business, so your time goes to your clients.
